Program Overview for TRUST Evening Reporting Centers
The TRUST Evening Reporting Center(ERC) provide community-based alternatives to detention (ATD) or least restrictive placement (LRP) for youth involved in minor offenses, typically facing detention by the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). Our center aim to address critical issues such as health, alcohol and drug abuse, crime, violence, delinquency, and social etiquette by equipping young individuals with vital life skills through focused programs, including:
- De-escalation Techniques: Training youth to effectively manage conflicts and reduce tensions, thereby promoting healthier interactions and minimizing the potential for violence.
- Conflict Resolution: Teaching strategies for resolving disagreements constructively, fostering positive communication and reducing delinquent behavior.
- Financial Literacy: Educating youth on budgeting, saving, and making responsible financial choices, contributing to their overall well-being and reducing the likelihood of engaging in substance abuse.
The Evening Reporting Center staff provides supervision and counseling three evenings a week, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Rhema Word Foundation’s Evening Reporting Center located at 121 Prosperous Place Suite 5A, Lexington, Kentucky. This nurturing environment empowers youth to develop the skills necessary for successful reintegration into their communities, promoting social etiquette and appropriate behavior.
